hi viht n 165 start40.3 max43.7.or try RL19start 40.7 max43.1.c.o.l 2.630.this is from the 7th edition hornady handbook. i hope this helps

My first thoughts were that he was looking for a horny holiday. It must be an age thing or else my mind must have been otherwise preoccupied.

The current Nosler and Hornady manuals give no loads for .243 deer bullets and VV powder.
They both say around 41.5 gr of 4831 or 7828, or 40.0 gr of 4350 is their accuracy loads, so 41.0 of N-160 is probably a good load to work up to.
Berger says 41.0 to 42.0 of N-160 for their similar bullet.

thanks to all some useful info and some not so useful . (maybe someone does not want me to have a more accurate round )

looked at this site mike it gives data on there own bullets but not amax so the thinking was give vit 160 a try with the good old Amax and at £38 for the hornaday reloading manual i dont think i will buy that.

It's the same weight bullet why worry about the make of the bullet? I think that I would be willing to put more trust in the data produced by the powder companies than by the bullet manufacturers in any case.
