How does the auto save work?

Really really stupid question

When ur typing a reply and that yellow box flashes up auto save where the hell is it saved?

Is it saved on my computer or somwhere on this message board or somewhere in my private stuff?


Just typing a reply that was fairly lengthy atleast for my 1 finger typing pushed the reply to thread button instead of submitt and its gone. Would love to say that's the first time i've done it too. Numpty
