After a crazy end of year, I finally have some time to start planning for the 2026 hunting season.
Until mid February I will focus mostly on myself and I will try to hunt some boars and a few birds (pheasants and ducks). I would love to spend some nights waiting for foxes and jackals in February but I must be honest with myself and postpone this because I will not have enough time...
Until May, the only species I could organize a hunt for are male wild boar and brown bear. There is a big "IF" with the bears because the government should approve the hunting quota first.
For the rest of the year, the high level plan is like this:
0. Brown bear
1. Roe deer
2. Red stag

- 20-31 October (driven / high-seat)
- 1-15 November (driven / high-seat)
1. Roe deer
Available dates: 1 May - 15 august
The roe deer prices will not be competitive comparing with UK but it could be a good "starter" for hunting in Romania...
