Following on from a recent thread, Was thinking about lots of past members, Names like Tartinjock etc, & one from an old thread jogged the memory cells, Brithunter .... wonder what happened with him eventually.

Brithunter....I remember a picture of a deer he shot with John Robinson YDS. He like my self looked after his mum and dad for years. His last post was a reply to admin quoting what a young German officer would say his superior...

Of late I have noticed 3 name changes to current members which I wondered what prompted the name changes?

According to CSL the name change has a circled arrow lasting for 30 days with the old name visible till the end of 30 days

Many regular posters from when I first joined have just disappeared or don't post as much. Greener Jim is a good example. I suspect peoples jobs get in the way at times. Noticeable Carl W doesn't post much during Moz hunting season for eg

I found a post by Brithunter on another forum (USA based) some time after he left this one...he had moved with his mum to Croatia? Hungary?Yugoslavia? or somewhere in the old Soviet block I gathered to make their pension go further...

Alan

just found my earlier post...

Brithunter last posted on Hunter's Life in 2017 as far as I can tell.......saying he and his mother were living in Eastern Europe looking to buy somewhere out in the countryside.

We had a heated exchange over him misunderstanding I was using a length of 30mm EN8 just to set up 30mm scope rings....oh it had to be a ground piece of 01.....according to BH lol.
His would often type "oh my my my how wrong you are" (bless)

Thats struck a cord. Recently I found the AA route from Tauton to Pete's: Roedetonator.

He had just taken delivery of his 20 Tac which Steve Bowers made for him. It was wearing a Zeiss Diavari and was a very impresssive bit of kit. Tragically Pete was killed in a RTA and I have always wondered what happened to the rifle.

That rifle is with his son Jake, and I have his blaser R8 lux

Thats good I only met him once and still have the photos of the 20 TAC. After looking through the Zeiss Diavari I was lucky enough to buy one which is on my .204. Super bit of glass.
