Illuminated reticules

After playing with a Hawke Nite-ey and a Tasco 3-9x40E I would not bother with the cheap illunated reticles as both of those were well how shall we say it:-

Crappy

Both are now long gone and were a total waste of money.

trouble with cheaper ir scopes. when you put the ir on. the ir rectical shines on the scope glass. which in turn make it as much use as open sights lol

I have a Zeiss 7x50 with illuminated reticule and have found it to be great for hinds when the weather is grim (as it often is in the Highlands in Nov/Dec)

As some one has allready stated if you cant see through normal scope's surely you cant identify the sex or animal also does the law not state "1hr before Sunrise and 1hr after Sunset!!!!!!!!!!! In 34+ years NEVER had a problem with my Non ir Swavorski's just my oppion as others are their's
