I'm looking for information on sending cut and boiled heads to Europe

I would have thought for posting anything you arent sure about, start with the courier service you intend to use.
They should be able to advise, also check the country receiving on their import laws.
Information should be freely available on the Internet.

Haven't done it myself, but you can apply for an Export Health Certificate for a hunting trophy here:

You will also need it signed off by an official vet or inspector.

Have a read of the guidance notes here:

I think willie Is correct about the vet checks and export documentation, having a quick read over the export documentation looks simple enough.

It also looks like vet checks are pretty dead easy? Find a professional to certify export health certificates there's a big-ol list here showing all the registered clinics that are qualified to sign off items, I never quite realised how many are actually signed up under the scheme.

Another thing is to also determine common sense your unlikely to get done-in for say sending a half a dozen cut roe skulls over to say France assuming there your personal trophies and your moving, But if your thinking about doing it commercially then I would personally be filling all the paperwork out, soon as your involving money in that scenario Is when they start to care.

(Until a confirmed case of CWD Is detected here roe, red, fallow and sika trophies should be able to be exported out of UK without papers, in my opinion at least....)

Many Thanks,
Antikka, wullie-gunn, Tim.243 and Sol.

I had a look through the list on Sol's link and I see the Highland Council do it.

I will try to drop them an email later on and will also have a chat with the APHA folk as well.

Following on from that I will need to suss out what packaging to use and a suitable courier.

Cheers All 👍

Just off the phone to APHA in Carlisle :lol: about as much use as a chocolate teapot. Why they didn't put me through to Inverness I'll never know.

Anyway I had a good time pressing the miriad of buttons to get to the correct department and went through a few links and found a few exporters that are licenced to export trophies and also messaged the local EHD to find out the craic from them about certifying the Export Health Certificate.

Cheers

Few years back I sent a Muntjac head to Colorado.
Froze it well, put into Tupperware container and sealed with Gaffa tape.
Posted Pist office) fastest (Expensive) way.
2days+ to get there.
Ken.

I started a thread in December 2022 asking if anyone knew of any other options to sending trophies to Denmark as the only option I was able to find at the time was the above company who were charging £60 per trophy.
All of the replies I received thought this was a fair price.

All I needed to do was tag each head with names of the client and tell them the pick up and drop of addresses.
