One of the MSP's comments is particularly puzzling. I just can't see what is wrong about "the normalisation of shooting for sport in an area which is regularly passed by children".
From my perspective, normalising shooting sports can only be a good thing as it could help to reduce some of the concerns which seem to exist (in general I mean).
The down-side of gaming has already been mentioned & some games appear to be all about blowing the enemy to bits! What is this teaching kids & how far is it removed from the well regulated reality?
Unfortunately, there is a certain element who choose to portray shooting sports as posing an extreme risk (not quite sure to what) & seem to consider those who indulge in such sports in an extremely poor light.
