intro to site

Good afternoon,

i would like to introduce myself, i live in norfolk, i have been shotgun shooting since my teens, i am now hoping to apply for my FAC as i have gained some permissions where i can, i have been out with friends with rifles, it's mostly been rimfire. the only real experience i've had with centrefire is shooting at targets a couple of times.

i would like to get a rimfire and a centrefire, i'm unsure on which calibres as i've been told different things by different people. i will mostly be shooting pests, i have been asked to reduce the numbers of CWD on one of the permissions too which is something i'm keen to learn about.

any advise or experience would be greatly appreciated, i have read through a few of the posts on here and it has been eye opening.

i'm also interested in the hand loading but think this would be something for further down the line as i have read it's somewhat of a rabbithole to fall down

Welcome from Essex, there's been a lot of discussion on calibres on here, give it a search and you should hopefully find some useful info. Most important thing would be, find a rifle that fits well and sits in budget
