Stalking directory keeps on coming up on my google seaches as ive recently got into deer stalking, so I thought id better register an account! Ive been involved on different driven game shoots around derbyshire for years, and we usually buy a couple of let days a year too, and for the last 3 years a few of us have been going up to Scotland 1-2 a year to shoot wild geese, our guide out there also does deer stalking so of course I had to give it a go! I did my first 2 stalks last year in kinross and norfolk, im booked on to DSC1 at the end of april and have just applied for a FAC. Ive applied for .243 and .270 as that is what has been recomeneded to me from the guys I know that already shoot deer, and from advise ive read on posts on this site and others, a friend of mine has done the same recently and was approved, but for .243 and 6.5x55 instead of .243 and .308 that he applied for, so we'll see what comes back from the firearms officer. Ive booked another couple of stalks this year, ive only shot Roe up to now, but I won a muntjack stalk at our shoot charity auction last week so will hopefully be getting my first muntie in the next couple of weeks! Id like to get one of every sepcies in the UK over the next couple of years while also keeping the freezer full, and then maybe join a syndicate if all goes well.
