Hi,
I have been shooting in around the Peak District (UK) for over 40 years on a very casual basis. Rabbits and deer mainly, but recently have been deriving a surprising amount of enjoyment ‘on the rats’ with both FAC and Sub12 air rifles. Optics and thermal technology have transformed that element of my past time and I suspect is in the process of doing the same to other aspects of our sport.
In addition to a couple of 22LRs and (here comes the hate) a 6.5CM, i also have a few shotguns for the close quarter stuff and occasional clays with pals.
Believe it or not, this is my first ever post on any [anti]social media, so be gentle with me! I’m normally of the opinion life is too short for all that nonsense, but over the years the Stalking Directory seems to stand apart with common sense, written by people with real experience and knowledge, or maybe I’ve just found the right echo chamber.
The kids have left home and my better half is muttering about me getting out more, so I need to take the shooting up a notch. So here I am.
As well as the wife and guns, dependants include a Springer and a Pointer x lab
