Hello,
I found this site through recommendations on other forums about finding information on stalking in the UK, I am 35 and from the US.

I’ve been blessed to have grown up with a good dad who took me outdoors from a young age. Mostly upland in my earliest years, dove, pheasant, prairie chicken, and grouse, advancing to whitetail and mule deer in my adolescence and then a lot of waterfowling when I started going on my own. I still do a good bit of waterfowling but have a stronger big game focus now mostly with mule deer when I can get a tag. I have a pronghorn tag this year that’s taken me five years to draw.

I’m a bit of an eccentric nerd and have way too many hobbies, interests and projects to list and shooting wise I’ve been just as eclectic. I use quite a few calibers mostly 22lr, 223 rem, 6.5 Grendel, 308 Winchester, 7mm rem mag, 300 win mag, as well as some airgunning in .177 and .25. Some experience with night shooting both via NV and thermal for predators (no pigs here). I still waterfowl hunt when the weather is right, mostly mallards and Canada geese with 12 and 20 gauge and have a Chesapeake bay retriever. I also shot skeet and American trap competitively in my youth.

I’m here to learn as much as I can about the practices and customs of stalking in the UK and hopefully make it there some day to broaden my horizons. I enjoy learning the methods of others in our shared passion and if anyone is curious about coming here I will do my best to help and offer advice. I’m very interested in the different species the UK offers and would really like to plan a trip, just need to figure out how.

Thanks for having me aboard and I’ll do my best to avoid the American stereotypes :)
