Is anyone using fox lead free bullets

I still using Fox lead free Ammo in my 30-06. - no issues shooting deer from 3 yds to 250 yds. I can’t see me changing from them TBH even though currently I don’t need to be lead free.

I have used these Fox Classic Hunter (homeloads) in 6.5 for a couple of seasons. They work well. Accuracy is good, meat damage is minimal and the deer have all dropped quickly (roe/fallow) or immediately (muntjac - shoulder shot)

I‘m in the process of developing the Peregrine 118 VLR as a backup bullet in case of shortages but if it does better than the Fox then I may make it my go to bullet.

I wasted a lot of time and money trying to get Barnes TSX group in my 6.5. The Fox whilst a second choice, has not disappointed me in the slightest.

I use fox classic in my .308 and 8x57jrs. accurate in both rifles and kills game well. Plus they are not overly priced.

I have used Fox classic hunter 130 grain in my 7mm-08 for the past three seasons on reds (both hinds and stags). They are excellent. I wouldn't go back to my previous lead load.

Results shown to be consistent with those seen on numerous species at wide ranges with a whole range of cartridges
Eat up to the hole!!

How a well designed non lead round should perform with minimal carcase damage and very little bruising

I pm'd you with a query regarding reloading 6mm fox bullets which I was having problems with

Is anyone using the fox lead free? Parricularly In 6.5x55. Tempted to try some but worried about expansion on roe and smaller fallow
Don't be worried, they expand perfecty but / and don't cause wastage, excellent ammo, used hundreds on fox>re deer.

Update - given up on Peregrine. Couldn’t get a decent group so I’m staying with the Classic Hunter.
Pity, but there you go. Didn’t waste quite as much money as I did in Barnes TSX, so there is a plus.

The Fox bullet is easy to load for. Just dump some powder in the case, seat a bullet and it will shoot well. Peregrine’s tend to be fussy.

I don't use them, yet..........
A couple of friends do though
One for a 6.5x55 and the other in a .243w
Both of them are getting good results in terms of accuracy and performance on deer = small groups and humanely/cleanly killed deer respectively
Tempted to give them a try myself after my current batch of ammo runs out

I've been using fox 123grn bullets for a couple of years now, firstly in my 6.6x55 and now in my 6.5 creedmoor, they work for me.
Nothing has run away after being hit up to now if I do my bit.

I have just re- zeroed my 30-06 with Fox Classic and Federal Powershok. Both very similar points of impact. I could have been a tighter group, but I was starting to melt in the sun. Not used to it anymore sun 🌞.

I loaded 123gr for my 6.5x55 and had absolutely fantastic results on targets, best groups I’ve ever shot. I only shot one roe with them before I got rid of the rifle and went to .308 but it didn’t move an inch from where it was shot.
