Afternoon gents,
As some of you may be aware I bought myself a gem of a BSA monarch deluxe a few weeks ago , having a reputation to keep as a tight arsed Yorkshireman I thought I’d give an update on its progress ( and also hopefully show to some people starting out that you don’t need to spend thousands to fill your freezer )
So here we have it ....
1x bsa .270 rifle £125
1x Edgar bros 8x56 scope £100
1 set of sports match weaver rings £31
1 box of 20 .270 130 gr soft points £17
Making a grand total of £273 all in for the outfit , I’ll get it zeroed in the next couple of days then take it out for a wander

I don't think you'll be getting rid of that too soon. I bought an old English sxs non ejector for similar money recently and now prefer it to my Beretta and Browning.

Well done mate, you are a man after my own heart. people often ask me how I can afford to hunt all over the world. Its simple I dont spend thousands on kit. I had one chap pull out of an Africa trip because he had spent all his cash on a Blaser and a scope that cost £2500, he could have had the trip for £2000. My first trip to Africa was with my CZ 30-06 with a Bushnall 3-9x50 Banner on top.

Exactly ! As I’ve said before I’ve got some nice kit a couple of Sako’s but they won’t kill any deader than this one and I’ve not had a rifle yet that shoots worse than me 😂
