Hi.
The rifle is a Carl Gustaf Model 2000 .270 and the scope is a Swarvoski Nova, steel, 3-12X56 on Apel mounts.
Between 1972 and 1993 we had to use .22 centre-fires in Eire for culling all Deer but in `93 the ceiling was lifted to .270 , whilst
here at home I was using a Mauser Mod.77 .30/06 with a steel Kahles 3-9X50 on top with Apel mounts.
At the time I could not afford another complete set-up and a Swedish doctor who had shot Reds here with my .30/06 was itching to acquire my Mauser as it was the only rifle with which he had shot `clover leaf` groups.
He paid me £1450 for it complete and another Swedish friend got me a special deal on the Carl Gustaf, scope etc. and I got the new complete outfit for £1275 .
It was the only time in a long shooting life that I had a super deal !

Some persons with little experience denegrate the .270 cal. but after-all it is only a necked down .30/06 anyway.
