Knife for my best mate

Just finished this little hunter/GP for my best mate’s 40th. He’s been bugging me for a while for an upgrade over his first one - the second knife I made. This one is a bit tidier! 1084 4.5mm at the thickest with 90mm blade 210mm overall. Sheath is 3mm domestic veg tan . Feels pretty good in the hand…

I’m going to guess now, but I would wager you’ve some really good mates, a real nice thing to have the skill set able to make a blade like that as a gift of friendship to your best buddy a long lasting gesture that looks awesome, Well done on a cracking job and sharing the story

Thanks Phil - I don't actually have that many close friends, but he is pretty special to me and it sucks living on the other side of the world sometimes. I really enjoy making things and being able to give them to people that matter. Also I shot this fallow buck a few years ago it ads an extra dimension for him. I’ll be hand delivering when I visit the UK next week - postage is not an option with knives it seems!
