Kudu

Show us your kudu mounts then ladies and gentlemen. Will be trying for one in 2014 so am interested to see what others have taken.

these are not mounts but it is a couple of kudu we have taken the last two seasons

There's some great trophy animals there Gerrit. Tell me, what calibre do you recommend using? Also, in SA is it all Southern Kudu, or has anyone introduced greater or lesser kudu from Eastern Africa into any of the game farms?

All these are southern greater kudu in SA, you only get the Eastern cape kudu in Eastern cape, they are smaller in built and have smaller horns. I am not sure if the lesser kudu has been introduced in SA yet. I would recommend any .30 caliber although we have hunted many with 7mm calibers as well. I know this can become a big debate but this is only my personal opinion on the calibre size.
