I have the Yukon waterproofs, they are excellent in terms of water repellency and breathe ability, they were so expensive though that I’m scared every time I go near a barbed wire fence. I have the icon rucksack too, that is great for carrying roe, you can slip a whole buck between the pack and the frame and carry it a fair distance without hurting, very comfortable.

yeh looks to be ? at them prices it better be lol . mind you my Harkila pro was around the same amount and its not the warmest gear i'v ever owned ? so what do i know

The waterproof and warm lines are good for winter highland stalking, but apart from that overkill for basic uk stalking imho. It’s good quality and well designed, I just think in 95% of the time there’s no need for going that expensive.
i spoke to their design team not long ago as I am looking for my perfect +/-summer stalking trousers. Light, waterproof (dew in tall grass soaks!), silent, very cool and breathable, comfortable fit when hot, plain green colour, no silly zippers pockets ties etc.
one of their products almost came close except that their water repellency when pushed, will not outperform anything you get in standard brands, it requires ongoing retreatments to remain repellent. I asked about walking through wet tall grass and was told not to expect them to stay dry.
In addition, contain pfc’s..

so I will go another year of stalking in my old faithful moleskins

I should add that I have the attack pants in plain brown, they are really comfortable, my first pair had a faulty zip on the side vent so I sent a pic to kuiu. They sent me another pair immediately, so now I have 2 pairs, I wear them a lot for work as well as stalking. They tend to pull when snagged by thorns but it doesn’t affect them really, only the looks.. i’ll Definitely buy more pairs the comfiest trousers I have..

I have a lot of Kuiu gear including their Merino, tiburon, attack, chinook, Kenai and Yukon ranges. Their bino harness is great for using binos and thermal at the same time.

I have found a fair few faults with their gear, but for some reason I keep going back to it! I think it’s the breathability and layering aspect I like most. The pit and hip vents I especially like. The fit also suits me well. I don’t like baggy clothes for stalking.

On the whole, it is a little too “delicate” for thick ground cover. My attack trousers were nearly in tatters after a couple of outings. The Tiburon range is a bit more durable, but does “pull” easily and the odour control seems non existent. The chinook range coupled with a Merino base is my favourite in terms of durability and breathability, but far too many zips on the trousers that can get caught up in cover and bipods! The knee pads are surprisingly useful and you don’t notice them.

The Yukon range is by far the most waterproof and breathable rain gear I’ve used (haven’t used a Porelle membrane jacket, yet) It’s meant to be their quietest rain gear, but the noise it makes drives me mental. On the plus side, it does remind me to move slower when stalking.lol. If I’m stalking in early morning dew, I’ll generally put the trousers on in anticipation of crawling. I end up soaked otherwise.

Avoid the gaiters. Stupidly noisy and a poor fit in my view.

The lack of odur control in the Tiburon range put me off the peloton range. I haven’t tried it yet. Also haven’t tried the down ranges as they also seem stupidly noisey.

Im very tempted to try the Sitka Thunderhead range, it’s brushed goretex so should be quiet. No pit zips though which I’ve found a must have for extended use.

Yukon is a good robust wet weather jacket
guide a decent all rounder - but not worth cash they charge now in my humble
Peleton 240 great all year as layer or a jacket
Merino ok - but cheaper as good over here
socks crap
thatd my assessment anyway - but really good and innovative kit
