Does any one have experience of large capacity gun cabinets
I have 5 rifles, 7 shotguns and 6 air rifles stored in 3 cabinets and would like replace with 1 large unit
Any recommendations
Thanks
Tom

I always look at cabinets and minus 1/3 to 1/2 of the guns it states to be able to hold. Most of them are tiny!
That's about right. 18 in one cabinet is one f'k off cabinet as you'll likely need one that's supposed to do maybe 24. I would not like to put anymore than 10 in my 14 gun cabinet, and that would be more shotguns than rifles.

The problem is the weight and size in most cases.

A1 Decoy, aka Mark Curtis of this site has some really large gun cabinets for sale, not sure where I saw his advert, it may even be on here.

I had two made. One that was hinged on the left, the other hinged on the right. Then fastened at the back to the wall through two transverse steel bars that hold the two cabinets side by side. Each holds (or could hold) two rifles and seven side by side shotguns.

I got three 'big uns' available in Surrey, each is a double door, will try and find dimensions/details and images

I'm in the same boat, I'm in the early stages of moving house and will have a dedicated "hobby" room, ie gun cabinets and reloading bench etc.
MY thoughts are multiple new matching cabinets all bolted together and then to the wall unless there is a better option.
Currently needing to store about 15 guns and I don't want to top and tail then any more.

One thing to look out for, if you are thinking of installing in an upstairs room is what weight they are (especially full) and will the joists handle it.
