Long Barrel Pistol.
Had an itch to scratch so purchased a second hand LBP (Firefly), 3 mags later the slide broke, literally snapped and the internals jammed.
Apparently a well known fault that has been documented and reported due to zinc alloy metal being used by GSG.
So the question is do I try again with a different model (1911) or has anyone had more luck than me with LBP's?

I have a GSG 1911 pattern (OG colour) bought about 8 years ago, since fitted an accuriser(?) kit to it and it runs great.

Now I'm hankering after a KMR Lance, shot one that a mate has, it's sooo smooth and precise.

Looks like 1911 is better, no reports of them cracking or breaking.
