The leather on the honing wheel on my Record sharpening grinder is no longer fit for purpose. It's become detached from the plastic hub, and has a nick in it where I accidentally damaged it.
Record want £35 for a new wheel, and this made me think - if I could cleanly remove the leather, how easy/difficult would it be to stick a new strip on?
The hub has three pins protruding that engaging with holes in the drive wheel.
