Left Handed .22WMR?

I recently purchased a Ruger right handed M77/22 ALL WEATHER .22WMR but have for a few months kept an eye out on Guntrader for a left handed .22WMR. It appears they are non existent!!

I did a bit of research online and looks like CZ used to do a left handed in the 452 but because of the popularity of the .17HMR discontinued this sometime ago.

I know I could get a Browning T-Bolt Varminter .22 WMR, but it looks like this is for the US market as I have seen none advertised in the UK and the reviews on them do not look good enough to warrant buying one.

Am I wasting my time looking on Guntrader and really a left handed .22WMR is not available and stick with the right handed version?

You may well need to place a special order and sit it out to get one. I don't remember seeing a true LH 22WMR. I've been on the hunt for a LH 22Hornet for ages - just have to be patient.

Never seen one sorry. Glad there is another WMR user out there though.
Would you mind telling how well the m77 shoots please?

Not got out fully yet as still waiting to a Hornady order to come in.

I purchased it from Ivythorn Sporting and it was great to zero in on the range they have. I bought it as I loved the old school style and it’s very light!!

cant wait to get out fully

Same as, I’m a lefty, shoot right hand rimfire and left hand centrefire rifles. Don’t think it really matters once you’re used to it so long a the stock is ambidextrous.
Mine is a RH CZ 452 American in 22WMR, RH 10/22, LH Sako 75.

So often too little choice for lefties

Savage B22 Left Hand? I have the B17 model left hand in 17 hmr and it's a great little gun.

Many thanks, typically when I google it looks like if I lived in the states I would have no issue of sourcing this rifle.

so frustrating that the UK does not sell left handed .WMR

I am hoping someone can prove me wrong!!!!

Possibly anschutz could help you, i have a .22 in left hand stock, with heavy 18 inch barrel , probably the most accurate rimfire i have ever shot, and better than any of my friends .22
Im sure they do wmr also, but probably by order, mine was ordered up, and came over in a week or so.
I think the issue is , many people prefer a hmr.17 , but Im with you on the wmr, I find them far better if windy, rain, etc . and cheaper from memory. although a 22 hornet is currently on my "wish list"
good luck.

- out of interest did you go direct to Anschütz for the order or did you use a dealer?

Got it through a local dealer in Reigate surrey. Dealer is called Tony, he has a shop at the end of the high street, very nice bloke to deal with. I cant remember the name of the shop, probably something like Reigate guns , Im sure a Google search would find it.

I have an M77 laminate stainless it shoots an inch or a shade under with 30gr hornady which is fine for head shooting bunnies to 100 yards and body shots further, plenty of power so shot placement doesn't need be as good as with a 0.22 ;)

I have a soft spot for 9422's. My 22 trapper was amazing!
I often wonder what the magnum version shoots like. How does yours perform please?
Smellydog,

It works absolutely fine - I wouldn't say a 9422 is a "surgical instrument" but its as accurate as any other equivalents I have such as the CZ's etc. I hate the fact I have to use a scope on it as its such a good looking and compact rifle with irons on it but it just wasn't as practical. and a moderator doesn't look right on them either (I have a 9422 and 9422M and neither have mods.)

They're just a good solid little rifle - no drama, no jams, the only downside is the mag rod can sometimes pop on them if you catch the knurled end but its no big deal.

The hold more in the mag than most 22's and 22WMR's and don't seem overly fussy on ammo type.

Gixer

Cheers for that but I would of preferred you to say it's pants!! Now I'm more tempted!!!
I shot my 9422 with scope or a peep. I did the trigger and also had no mod. It out performed many a turn bolt!
