As the title sugests, any opinions as have seen a couple of second hand ones at reasonable prices.

Try them out if possible. The reticle is typically American and fine also the magnification will probably be closer to 5X that 6X Ahhh correction the 6x42 is actually 6X according to my old Leupold catalogue the 6x36 is close to 6X at 5.9X actual magnification.

​I own a M8 Compact 4x scope and a Vari x-111 in 2.5-8x36.
