Its was pilot error. I set up today with a mate and used his rifle rest. I still managed to pull a shot. But Im a happy chappie no, I fired 2 shots (including the pulled shot) removed and replaced the scope then fired another 2 shots. I was going to let the mate shoot today but this had gotten to a vendetta.


Pulled shot 1" left, next shot on the line, replaced scope, 1/2" high then on the line.

I have been following this thread with some interest. These mounts must not be popular here in Montana because the ranch-supply store had several sets of rings for sale at half price last time I was in there. I bought two sets and put them away to use on my 6.5x55. I like them though it's taken some mental adjustment to get past those two little levers; I'm usually death on anything that could catch on something and potentially loosen.~Muir
