@Spartan I've tried an MBUS /AR15 front sight key on my new to me LMT front sight post and it doesn't fit. Any idea where I can procure a key?

I just need to wind the front post down! I’m doing it but it’s cackhanded as hell compared to my MBUS. I was hoping LMT did a post key but Google failed me.

Not when you’re zeroing. The rear set is set to Z and you adjust the front post to your aim point. According to their website.

The front post is adjustable in height for zeroing the iron sights. Once the front is set for te rifle with the rear at the "Z" setting, the rear sight adjusts in height for the ranges printed on the cylinder.
FastMack, if you press the retaining pin down using a biro or similar softish pointy thing can the front post rotate? Could it be that the MBUS tool has slightly shorter teeth than the sight needs to free it from the anti rotation pin?

Just checked and my magpul MBUS key/tool won't rotate my LMT front post either. It works perfectly on my Magpul front sight. Using a biro on the LMT front sight I can push the pin in and the post can be rotated slightly so I think it is just a tool issue. I am guessing a standard sight AR tool will work?
