Lightforce lamps,(like or dislike)

Suffered all the problems above, good lights but wiring etc is crap if you are using them a lot. For the roof mount, I use the old common silver one[don't know the proper name or make, but it's the common one] and fit a light force lamp to it as the LF roof mount is crap.

Wiring on my roof remote split and the wiring was re-done by Deben.. can't see where they get thier £100+ prices from but they do the job.. great in the Defender in winter as you get a good heat off the wiring!

best lamps out there i think. the only let down is the connectors. a mate rewired mine with the snap connectors. they never fail now. none of that coming apart and the light going off.
cant use it in the jeep fag lighter now. but not bothered. i just wack the battery in the passenger footwell and use it that way

re-lightforce lamps

ive had good use from mine and its been used a lot i have found that fuses and bulbs are quite pricey from gun shops but can be bought at electrical wholesalers for a fraction of the price but as far as the lamps go there great

Snap,

Exactly the same happened to me last week, spooted 2 foxes got into position no light!!! Wiring had shorted out and blown fuse. Completly rewired mine, proper soldered joints and a heavy duty rocker switch because the original melted out.

Excellent lamp but wiring is total crap.Used light domestic ligdting twin core and a 240v rocker switch which cost couple quid from local hardware store. Apparently best to use 10amp glass cartridge type fuse.

Have just found source of replacement vertical filament bulbs which are a couple of pounds each. They are excellent.
