Hi guys ,

I will be in London ( Kensington ) from 15 December until 18/19 December for a competition ( Olympia horse show)
Any nice hunting stores I need to visit ?

Don’t really need another rifle , more interested in all sorts of accessories, equipment, clothing and boots

Thanks

David

Its worth having a look through the doors of the big names like Holland and Holland, Rigby, William Evans, Purdey and the Beretta Showroom.

Apart from having some lovely looking (albeit often screamingly expensive) rifles and shotguns to eye up they do also sell clothing and the like. The only recommendation I would have is if you see something you do like then check the price online as well as it can be possible to find the item cheaper online.

If you're in London and fancy some trigger time you can also head out to West London Shooting School.

Rigby's near Wandsworth is worth a look. Don't just turn up though, as there are a gunmakers not a gunshop.
Most London shops will be RRP on all clothing and equipment as sky high rates means they have to.

As Stu says, definitely go and see the big names if you haven't been before. They are all very welcoming and it is wonderful to see the craftsmanship in some of the guns and rifles.

Also, consider Farlows in Pall Mall if you are a fisherman.

Kind regards,

Carl

Don't Harrods have a huntin'/shootin'/fishin' section ? I though Beretta had a shop there along with some others ?

Was in there last week. Their selection of flys is immense.

Like mentioned before, expect to pay London prices.

Hi,

Alteady thanks for the info

Going shooting sounds good but I won’t have the time considering the competition.

I will try to visit some stores:-)

William Evans are the best to deal with imho. Used to live down the road from rigby - traditional stuff is stunning, but some of it is a bit garish. Not interested in smaller transactions.

I heard of people going into evans years ago and they were incredibly rude. Did not really want to deal with you. Stupid carry on.

Roro - some of the senior members of staff can be a bit distant, but the rest are quite engaging if you want to chat about stalking. Not perfect, but my choice in central.
