I’ve no doubt if they manage to get that far the training and mentoring is superbTwo of my mates are on the mentoring scheme currently - both seem very pleased with their training sessions.

there isn't that's the point , DSC 1 courses make money and the guys at BASC get paid . Total lack of organisation ? well correct , the travel and accom isnt paid to training days and The tracking itself isn't charged and few clients will offer in practice . Want it professional ? Make it compulsory to have a tracking dog available within a set time limit and pay a subscription for the service if you haven't got a dog that can !And your point is what, doesn’t change the fact they are terrible at communications,
I agree with everything you say, and already said I think it’s a superb idea, but if they never bother responding to people, how is that a good thing ?
I also fail to see relevance between deer tracking and dsc1![]()

Yes I did, and it just compounded the matter even more.Did you PM as requested?
Keith is that with teckles or BMHTwo of my mates are on the mentoring scheme currently - both seem very pleased with their training sessions.
With teckels, one has a stud we've used and one has one of our pups. The standard is very high as expected as the course is for recovery tracking dogs as opposed to the usual 'stalking companion' role. Let's be frank, if someone has got to the point when they need to contact UKDTR you can bet that the deer has already been looked for, the first hundred yards of the trail has been contaminated, thermal spotter was probably tried and failed, hence...............it's unlikely to be the walk in the park type trail the 99% of stalking companion dogs do where a heart shot deer has run 50 metres into a wood.Keith is that with teckles or BMH
Replied. ThanksYes I did, and it just compounded the matter even more.
Unsure what if any role stalker 308 has in it but he did reply to me, very promptly in fact, no complaints there
Rather than be a bitchy whiner on here, I’ve pm’d you the details

Not a bad effort. But you get out what you put in, and we knows you and that holigan have put in some serious graft. Looking forward to you smashing the 20hr and been on the call list. #properdog. My hound and myself have had the pleasure of being mentored by UKDTR for the last 8 months and it has been an exceptional experience that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone that would like to become part of the deer tracking call out team. You can’t buy the experience that Nobby and Alan have passed on to us.
