Low bird over the Trent

Beautiful. I was once lucky enough to marshal the Memorial Flight onto their hardstands at an airshow. The Spit and Hurri were amazing enough, but to be stood in front of four Merlins towering above me was a spinetingling experience I'll never forget

Standing under the nose of the Avro-Lancaster was extraordinarily moving. The thing is massive.

The paintwork on the side indicate numerous sorties and the award of the DSO and three DFCs to the crew.
