LSA 55 Help

If anyone has an Tikka LSA 55 could you possibly post an image of the mag retention spring (not the sliding bar on the bottom metal )

I have 55 in for a repair and wish to replicate the original spring steel part

Sadly the part isn’t on the gun hence why I’m asking

Is that the internal spring for the mag? If so, the spare one should look like this.

Was the M55 kept the same ?

If so are you looking for the magazine retention metal which stops the mag falling out and fits in the Thumbnail slot in the back of the magazine located in the bottom metal/trigger guard if i remember right?

There is a metal spring that attaches to the forward side of the action (in front of the magazine inlet in the action)

This holds some tension on the mag against the sliding latch and prevents it detaching under recoil

It’s that part ( the spring ) that I would like a pic of

Thanks for the mag pic but not what I’m after - appreciates though

That's what the front of the mag inlet looks like on mine.

A google search found this image, there may be more.

From memory, (last time I had mine apart), is has a right angle bend and a screw that fixes it to the bottom of the action.

Here's another.

Perfect thank uou

It’s the L shaped piece that is a mag “guide “ that is missing from the Rfle in for repair

There doesn't seem to be a spring on mine, just a guide plate with a slight curve on it to hold the mag in place. Hope this helps. Dave

I wasn’t sure if it was a spring or just a plate

Now I know !

This is what makes this site so good
