God help them, I say.
I really can't help thinking of history having an extremely nasty habit of repeating itself, and of certain similarities between Mr Trump and the rise to power of a certain German gentleman from the 1930s who was also very popular with an awful lot of the German population at the time. Incidentally the German gentleman was far more eloquent and less obviously mentally disturbed initially. He too had several convictions.
I think I'd have the same sentiment whichever candidate they'd elected.God help them, I say.
You're clearly being deliberate in making a stupid point here, but if I remember correctly, Hitler didn't get much of the Jewish vote in 1933, whereas it seems that Trump has a clear lead over the Democrats on the Jewish vote this election. Hitler was always explicitly keen on territorial expansionism and Trump is quite the opposite.I really can't help thinking of history having an extremely nasty habit of repeating itself, and of certain similarities between Mr Trump and the rise to power of a certain German gentleman from the 1930s who was also very popular with an awful lot of the German population at the time. You really are trying to compare Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler? A man that orchestrated the killing of six million people…and you say he was “less mental”???I really can't help thinking of history having an extremely nasty habit of repeating itself, and of certain similarities between Mr Trump and the rise to power of a certain German gentleman from the 1930s who was also very popular with an awful lot of the German population at the time. There are problems with all electoral systems. Certainly the same applies for EU nations where you have a supra-national President who is selected primarily from a pool of politicians who have been voted out, and usually are criminals - although it is not a formal requirement, and elected by a collection of their peers who have been elected by a spectacularly unequal process. The key point is that at least in the US the electorate can get rid of a poor President at the next election. It is hardly the fault of the electoral system that the political poarties put up such poor candidates and decided to run (particularly in the case of the Democrats) such extreme, corrosive campaigns.Me, I'm still trying to understand a voting system that allows a country to have a President who hasn't won a "party" seat (ie in the Senate) and is selected by his or her peers. Nor can I comprehend why you can have a Democrat President and a Republican majority (and vice versa). The Electoral college system is a bit of a rum one in my eyes as well, but there you go.
However, as I live in part of the UK that has been run by a party that has refused to accept a democratic decision for ten long years ie the 2014 Independence Referendum (as well as the UK wide Brexit referendum), I will gracefully say that the Republicans won and their choice of President is heading to the Whitehouse. Whether this is good or bad is of little relevance now and we must wait and see how things go.
Actually, you're only counting the Jews here. It was German policy to murder 85% of the populations of Poland and Russia too, and millions of those civilians were also killed. You really are trying to compare Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler? Give yourself a shake and have a serious look in the mirror sir.
I could have mentioned many more additional atrocities, but I think just considering the 6 million Jews was enough to show that anyone comparing Trump to Hitler is deluded and needs to have a rethink.Actually, you're only counting the Jews here. Think the 6millions were quite a bit after the fact he came to power.I could have mentioned many more additional atrocities, but I think just considering the 6 million Jews was enough to show that anyone comparing Trump to Hitler is deluded and needs to have a rethink.
The note from Trump to Starmer said " Just remember the loo seat will be left in the upright position"I really can't help thinking of history having an extremely nasty habit of repeating itself, and of certain similarities between Mr Trump and the rise to power of a certain German gentleman from the 1930s who was also very popular with an awful lot of the German population at the time.
