Wanted: meopta meopro 6x18x50

Putting the feelers out for one of these scopes as someone i know is looking for one. Or meopta meopro 4x12x50.

Nothing wrong with the Meopro. I have one on a 270. It's never moved. Great optics for the money. Presumably you would issue the same warning about any other aluminium tubed scope? Funnily enough I have had lots of aluminium tubed scopes which have been no problem at all.

Yes.
glad you have good experiences, not always the case given the stress put through the scope tube under compression, torsion and often impact.
its not about recoil.

As you see above my scope is already on hold

couldnt care less whether the OP or his friend goes for steel or aluminium, mine or anyone else's

Not all aluminium alloys are created equal
i like meoptas and have three of them.
The meopro however, especially earlier ones, is not one of their better models
