Mrs Smelly bought a new mirror and it came in cardboard packaging that when unfolded was a large piece.
We'll come back to that for any sad or bored enough to read on.
I've been struggling with my Winchester 94 and after trials came to the conclusion the weight of the trigger was messing me about.
I have already improved it over stock the first week of ownership approx three years ago but now I needed to lighten it more.
So after some judicious stoning it's much lighter. Doesn't break like a glass rod unfortunately but doesn't nevertheless influence the shot and is safe and also still frozen old hand friendly!
So today I got that cardboard and drew a deers chest on it. Paced off 100 big strides and fired two shots in quick succession and then after going back further to simulate misjudging range sent two more in quick succession at something like 140yds.
Now I did notice I rushed the first round and it went high, still deadly though. In fact all the shots were high so I lowed the zero after. Ironically the two shots @140 were closer than the previous two!
The trigger is much improved and more predictable.

After zero adjustment I slipped a small game round in after upping the turret 13".
They print a touch right at 50yds.

Think I'm ready now for a fallow or two.
