Thanks!!Well done !!
Thanks for posting that, stark difference to the recent ' revamp' effort by the NRA. Of course the mailing list subscribe function is down but ya know at east they tried
Stop getting married thenWish i could make it up for another this year but fully booked with weddings and work anoyingly!
I'm hoping i never have to do that again as it will significantly set back project 7mmStop getting married then![]()
I long action/magnum I believe the furthest target engaged was 1257 yards, but further impact was 1184 yards. Wind was a bitch. I couldn't quite make the 1184. Dancing either side of it. Only one impact was made on that target by 3rd place with the 300win mag.How far did folk get to in the respective classes
Dunno about the other chap that took 1st, but mine is a fast twist tikka launching 108 eld m at 2960fps. Not as efficient as the other modern 6mm but it's just a delight to shoot. Just can't go wrong! Saying that I'm 1300 rounds down the barrel now and weighing up my options for rebarrel!Good to see the mighty 243 holding it's own. Is there a story there?

Short action I can't remember. Certainly Not as far!
Yeah it's definately challenging! Yeah most misses were right of the target for most people which aligns with what you are saying!Brilliant effort
The wind is “problematic” on this range woth some interesting environmental from 900 mtrs (left side) as the distance increases
The 6mm perform best in the 2850-3100 Vo range depending on bullet used (from my perspective anyway )
Interesting to do the 284 win classed as short action - it always performs best in long action guise with longer seated bullets to allow maximum capacity powder space to be utilised
Looking forward to July and the next one
On FB if you search for UK Rifle Series you’ll see the results and Long Action / Short Action breakdown of calibres used etcWill they post event results on the website? I’d be curious to see what equipment everyone was using and how the attendees did.
There were some anomalies, such as 6.5-284 in long action and straight 284 in short action. On FB if you search for UK Rifle Series you’ll see the results and Long Action / Short Action breakdown of calibres used etc

Aye, I've wondered if they're more designating on bolt face.284 can be either long or short action dependant on the reamer / throater used
It’s mainly designated long action - every rifle I’ve ever built using the 284 patent case be that 6.5/284, 284 Win ans 284 Shehane have been on long rifle actions
The oal of each of these has way exceeded 2.850” (for instance) of a short action AICS mag
