Mod reloading test

I don't shoot on M.O.D. ranges with a club but my very limited understanding of the situation is that your club needs you to sign and have on record a declaration that any reloaded ammunition used by you on the range will be loaded in accordance with published reloading data and loaded using accepted good practice. An alternative being having attended a NRA recognised handloading course.

You are correct.

I was recently sent a form to complete to that effect if I wanted to add hand loaded ammunition to my Shooter Certification Card.

Your club is best placed to say if your reloading skills are good or very worrying
They can sign you off if they are doing it.
Stuff paying for it aswell as overpriced range fees !

what paul o said above, nra is just a money grabbing organisation, they dont give a toss about shooters as long as you are filling their coffers :finger:

Having dealt with the NRA since the early 1980's I can fully understand why Paul O made that comment.
My disillusionment with the NRA as a national governing body is only exceeded by that which I have for the NSRA.

BASC often comes in for unfair criticism but most of that directed at the NRA is fully justified. It's a self serving Bisley based organisation that doesn't deserve to use the title national.

i dont have to justifiy, or explain, my opinion to anybody on here, my opinion about the nra is my opinion, who are you the thought police on this forum. :finger:

The question as to what makes you have this option is still valid.

Anyone posting their option on a forum must assume they may be asked what experiences caused them to form it - ‘rights’ work both ways.

Additionally, from your defensive stance you appear to presuppose that the questioner(s) may not agree with you.

I didn't think this whole reloading thing on SSCs was a bad thing. I like the fact they're still allowing Darwins theory to take it's course but all they've done is washed their hands of the responsibility

Exactly. It's an arse covering exercise.

Oh it's an arse covering exercise all right, but to be fair to the NRA on this occasion by means of the club declaration they have come up with a reasonable solution to the problem for those using M.O.D. ranges for the time being.

I agree, I don't have a problem with it at all.

May I ask, what is your experience that causes you to think like this?

Forgive me, I have taken a leap of faith here, and am working on the hypotheses, that your response (above) is in reply to my question (also above).

If I am wrong (I often am), then please ignore the following:-

You are (of course) correct, in that you do not have to justify, or explain your opinion to anybody 'on here'.

However, I have noticed that you have repeatedly 'voiced' your negative option of the NRA. It (some may think) would not therefore not be usual, for those 'in the room' to ask why you felt, why you did.

It may be (for example), I agreed with you. If memory serves, I do not have an entrenched view on the NRA in any aspect and (hope) that I am open to persuasion.

To give a view (on anything) without the ability to articulate why - then you are just making so much 'white noise'.

If you response to that kind of gentle query, is to insinuate that the questioner is the 'thought Police', and to indicate your displeasure with the emoji of someone 'giving the bird', then I am....

On second thoughts.

You really don't want to know what I think of that.
