Moderator end cover, chemist embarasment

I was puzzling how to stop dirt and water getting into my Hardy moderator recently (it has vents around the hole the bullet exits).
I looked at a plastic cover- too fiddly.
Insulation tape- would take quite a bit of it to cover the exit hole and the vents.
Aha- a condom would fit nicely.....
But not pink; that would look silly- I need a black one, and extra large black one!

Went to local village chemist...I just couldn't do it! All their stock was next to the counter, came away with some headache pills! No idea if they had what I was looking for or not.

I'll just be careful with it I think!!!!!

We have insulation tape at work that is 50mm wide? Would that make things easier?

Even if sourcing and purchasing these items were stress/embarrassment-free, I don't think I could bring myself to fix one on the end of my moderator as I would be worried a member of the public I am regularly bumping into would recognise it for what it is.

To get back to the practical application, I roll down the mod cover first then roll the condom on, then roll the mod cover back over, you only see the tip! And no water gets in. The second best reason to buy johnnies!

All sorted now; nice bit of wide insulation tape (thanks Baguio) cut round to the diameter of the mod....perfect.
AND....no more sweating in the chemists!!!!!
