Wanted: Muntjac/CWD North Wales area

Hi, my frined adn I are interesed in a day stalking Muntjac/CWD ideally as close to the North Wales (Wrexham) area as possible. Both have a 223/22.250 FAC and BASC insurance, this would be our first time out on deer but have plenty of experience with Fox/Vermin. Have seen some good opportunities advertised on the site so far but wondered if there are any closer to home, probably looking towards the end of this year start of 2011. Thanks Steve

There are no CWD anywhere close to Wrexham unless some of those in the Shropshire area still survive. Muntjac are a little closer with animals present in parts of Cheshire and apparently on your doorstep near Rossett although I've yet to see any there myself. As to someone offering stalking for them I've not heard of anyone in the area so you might have to travel. Your nearest deerstalking is almost certainly either for fallow in Denbighshire or reds in Staffordshire.
