Muntjac in Reigate

Ive seen them sporadically on Headley heath ( Top end of Mill lane if you know the area well) whilst driving to work.

Interesting - I have a fairly large chunk of ground that I stalk just the other side of the M25 from there and I've never seen any evidence of muntjac (albeit there's a lot of roe!).

Plenty on leith hill / pitch hill and on Whitedown near Dorking. I have shot a couple near Leigh so not far as the crow flies from Reigate !

I used to see them and shoot them all around Virginia waters loads on Wentworth estate
And that was 12 years ago.

They have made it further East as far as Hawkhurst apparently. I believe that population is already "under pressure" ...possibly even "red list". Whether introduced or not, who knows?
Every now and then a pair would appear looking like aliens that had beamed down from a starship just West of Canterbury. Somebody obviously trying to establish them. A thankless and fruitless effort. Foxer's bonus ball according to the 'keeper.
