Very soon you will be 20% through a renewal just on extensions. You have to wonder if that’s being signed off without issue then what could be holding up the full renewal…

Out of interest will your renewal be back dated or will you get a ‘free’ year?
 
Please think about this before rejecting the idea, would it not be worth us stalkers and hunters in general registering our way of life as a very loose religion. Not like the normal religions but something new, THEN WE COULD PLAY THE RELIGEOUS PERSECUTION CARD .. Just think about it. Im not religious at the moment but love my hunting and it is a way of life really.

I believe it was tried a few years ago, possibly by the Countryside Alliance but there was some reason it did not take off.

Highly unlikely as it’s only in the last few months there’s been positive commitment to a study in persecution of those given of the Christian faith.

I think it will just run from the normal date of expiry. Hope they get their act together for my next renewal in 4 years time
 
Well I finally managed to get my regrant off this a.m. I reckon it took about 3.5 hours to complete with some entries on individual pages taking more than 10 minutes each to “Save”. Meanwhile Mrs FB and I engaged in gentle debate about the efficacies of this much-vaunted and hugely expensive system.
Nil response as yet to my Victor Meldrewesque email to the Chief Constable…….

It's took 9 months for a renewal😲😲& just to rub salt in the wound it's incorrectly signed off.
I'm now under Durham FL,not due till 2024 & I ain't looking forward to renewing ☹
 
I received my application pack end of august for expiry in December, had already dropped form into Doctor, 28 days for Doc cert. Then Had to wait for one reference details, on-line system failed on last page yesterday so post off info, followed by email that it has been posted- today I receive letter from FEO with two more forms that weren’t enclosed in original pack, - land usage form. And who else lives in the house, with a lovely letter saying if I don’t complete before 8 Wk’s of expiry to put my guns with an RFD as they won’t issue a temp permit- luckily mine has gone in in time- have emailed them the completed additional form today, asking if they need these posting. Hopefully all goes smoothly now. 🤞

Dont think I was asked about other occupants or a land usage form. Just the land owners name and address.

Hopefully Durham will have things sorted by 2024 .
The service is shocking at present but hopefully will have improved by my next renewal in 2027.
 
My grant application is now over a year old. I checked ealier this year to be told they were up to May 21s applications and could l be patient.

Checked again in September to be told again they were up to May 21 and to be patient.

A farcical situation.

Looking at the latest edition of Sporting Gun there is another diatribe from BASC who have written a report telling us what we already know.

When oh when will they do something practical and stop peddling more words and hot air?

Surely there is enough evidence to take a class action against the police or would that be too hard for them?

I would gladly drop my membership but its sadly a condition of my fowling club

No need to involve religion, as a minority group we are discriminated against, what we need is a fighting fund, a pair of testicles and a barrister of the calibre the antis employ
