Hi,
As my login name suggests I'm based in Ireland,
I stalk mostly in the Dublin and Wicklow mountains and also in West Wicklow.
I enjoy bird hunting with my German pointer, the first I've had, always labs till now.
I had given up pheasant and duck hunting years ago when the kids were born.
It's great to see him work one of the most important aspects of hunting for me.
I also hunt driven boar several times a year with a group from different parts of Ireland and England .I use an old BSA 6.5x55 my favourite,a Remington 243, and a Beretta 687
Which suit my needs adequately.
I rear pheasant in a non shooting area close to where I live and hopefully they will repopulate this wild mountainside saved from development by virtue of altitude.
