Need shipping company to send Red Deer heads/antlers to US from Scotland

I am trying to find a good shipping company near Edinburgh airport, or in Perthshire, or near Dundee, that is experienced in shipping prepared red deer heads with antlers by air freight. Do any of you have experience in shipping to international clients, friends or stalkers? I also need to either pack them myself or hire someone to do it.
The airlines used to let us check them in as baggage, but now they either do not allow it or their fees are over the top.
I appreciate your help. Thank you.

See below, perhaps they can arrange for it to be collected from where it is located at the moment?
Worth a call.

Hi PKL and Richard, Thanks for the replies. The antlers are walking around on the hill, getting ready for the rut. If all goes well, we will have five sets, all boiled out and tines protected by garden hose and tape, to ship home to the US. I hope to deliver them to a freight company before flying home from EDI. I have asked around somewhat, but I thought some of you avid stalkers might have a tip for me.
Thanks, Jon

+1 for Rainbow. They did a good job for me with stuff from South Africa, although the latest taxidermist I am using out there said that DHL was his choice.

Thanks for that, Goathunter! Is there a local freight office anywhere in Perth? There must be, given the businesses there. Just thinking I don't need to carry them to the airport. Jon

If you are still looking for a shipper let me know,I have been involved in moving for a number of years.

Hi , I shipped cleaned heads to the states a few years ago, firstly you have to get them certificated by a taxidermist to show that they are clean and free of meat etc, I used George Jamieson in Cramond, Edinburgh and then used a freight company at the freight section of Edinburgh airport, hope this helps.

Can I just add my two penneth here - I would strongly advise that you choose a door to door service with them signing "received in good condition" otherwise, if you split the responsibility (including you doing the packing) a carrier can deny responsibility for damage and an insurance Company may not accept a claim if the items were not professionally packed? If you cared to read the T&C's on the back of an air waybill or seafreight bill of lading you would never ship a damn thing!

I am sure most of the Companies recommended by others will offer that.

Dear Wirehair, I know where the taxidermist is. Could you possibly remember the name of the shipping company you used? On the NE side of the airport? Did you do the packing?
Thanks, Jon

Dear KBar1970, Thank you for making sure I am aware of the CWD problem. I am lucky that most of my kit is already in Scotland and has been for years. Also, I am from an area where we have not encountered it yet. I certainly will not take any contaminated boots on my trip. Happy stalking! Jon

Eyefor, Thanks also for that advice. The shipping companies seem to operate in a mysterious world of fees and paperwork. I am trying to figure it out for this year and future trips. Do you think anyone has really taken the time to read the Terms and Conditions on an air bill? Ugh. :-| Jon
