It needs that twist So Iāve been told mate ?? Iāve had a 6.5-284 in the past,was ok as a plinker to be fair but I like my .25.06 for whacking roe. Itās served me well along with the .270 and 7mm rem mag. I like my big cases

Like you its used for roe mainly but it hits hard on reds too I not been found wanting
Hoping tue quarterbore resurgence keeps momentum and if availability gets better quick then as you say the rebarrel might just be fast twist barrel

Oi, I have a 25 w***moorBarnes lrx 117 grn .257 calneeds a 1-7.5ā twist rate (presumably designed for the .25 w*****moor) but I might re barrel my .25.06 into a fast twist .25.06

Iāve got plenty Norma brass mate,bit soft but Iāve never had much issue with it. Yea Ay the throat might need a tweak but it wonāt be to bad as those lrx like a good jump? Somewhere from 60-120 thou should find it I would think going by my other rifles. I know the .270 and 7mm rem mag are max mag length and itās ok fir them but every cal is different I suppose
I would like to think it would be 3100-3300?? Used to get 3350 from the old sako game kings in 117grn with a 22ā tube so the 24ā should help keep the velocity up
I would be using a rs maybe a 60/72? Iāve never got on with vit powder speed wise? I find the rs gives me better velocity. I get 3160 out of my .270 with 129lrx with rl17 which is basically rs60 on a 20ā tube so no reason the .25 wonāt do it?
Yea I think the speed I want is easy to achieve! Thatās good speed for a creed mind!!! Good powder choice though
Yea I thought a creed would only be doing that? If I can get the 117ās if I use them to anything over 3000 thatās plenty fast enough
If for deer I think folk get too hung up on speed.... out to 300yds it's all much and such same
The 101 are 3200 fps ...who needs faster ?
Especially on roe ....deads dead and accuracy is pap on....depends what powder is readily available to you as well....vhit works well for me
