On paper, it seems to me that the Nocpix vista h35r still beats the HikMicro Condor Cq35l 2.0 from a tech perspective? Lens speed, eye display size etc.. Is that your expert opinion too?

Both great units, the real strong point of the HikMicro 2.0 models is the single hand focus adjustment, which frees up your other hand totally..

That does sound good and should be taken into consideration. Still like the spec of the NocPix more and the sleeker inline lrf but will wait and handle both units at the shooting show in a few weeks time. Condor appears about £100 cheaper too

Surprised no LRF option on the FQ35 model just the 50.

35mm lens just doesn't have the meat on it for LRF module on lens footprint.

How good is the zoom on these? My current thermal is rubbish. It is 5 years old now. I was trying to differentiate between pheasants and rabbits last night under 200 yards. It wasn’t easy. I am sure that it will be a lot better as things have moved on.

And is there any difference in spec with the price difference? Or is that down to design?

Digital zoom is pretty naff on all thermals to be honest unless it's HD then it retains the quality a bit better like on 1024 and 1280 models.. but digital will always drop quality..
