Good afternoon all
I am fairly new to stalking in this country, I grew up shooting plains game in Zimbabwe
I am looking at putting in a variation to my firearms certificate as soon as our police force is taking them again.
Luckily I have managed to get permission on a number of local farms to stalk deer which is good, mainly by being a reliable pigeon shooter and controlling any vermin on the farms. I shoot pheasants and am a member of a few local syndicates. I love shooting woodcock, snipe walked up and have also got into flighting ducks, this season, a pal and I have started to feed a pond near us and had some lovely evenings flighting ducks.
I am looking at getting a second hand .308 and a good scope with an illuminated reticle to go on top of it, I have as part of my applications been out of stalks with friends who have kindly written letters in support of my variation application.
so much information on here, thank you for having me!
