Just joined the Stalking Directory after a friend showed me the 'Outrageous' thread in General Topics. I live in Dumfriesshire, via Suffolk and Sutherland, have been stalking for about thirty years but am mainly interested in shooting, pointers and setters, spaniels, labradors and photography. Use a Winchester .243 for deer and foxes.

Are any of your hounds used for tracking deer or are they as your name suggests, HPR's?

Bird dogs

Hi Daemo- The dogs are actually pointers (English Pointers) rather than HPRs and are used for grouse/partridge shooting. Never tried one of them tracking deer and would probably use one of the cockers if the need arose.
