Hello, all.

I am planning a trip to Europe PROBABLY in October. My wife wants to visit England, perhaps Scotland and/or Ireland whilst we're there. I hoping to get a few days shunting in, CWD and/or Mujiac?

Looking for recommendations for a guide/outfitter. I will not be traveling with my rifle.

Older gentleman (63) very experienced hunter. I hunted Roe in Poland a few years ago, so not really interested in Roe but I could be persuaded.

New to this site so I don't know if I can send or receive PMs or not??

Thanks

Welcome, for both the lower East side of England
However
The Chinese Water Deer season in the UK, for both bucks and does, is November 1st to March 31st. This applies to England and Wales, as Chinese Water Deer are not found in Scotland.

Welcome,what part of the US?
Don't forget we also have other deer species!
Recently returned to Florida after a very long absence. I'm from Florida thus we just moved back "home". I lived in Georgia (a couple hours up the road) for many years.

I hunted Roe in Poland, CWD and Mujiac are two that I don't know of anywhere else that the opportunity would be present??

Hoping to get to MAryland USA to hunt Sika soon.

Howdy Hancock,
Is Hancock your Christian name?
Welcome from Manchester.
I took rotary flying lessons near Haines City some years back.
I have a buddy in Md so will ask him about Sika up there.
Cheers, Ken.

Welcome. As an American I’ll tell you that most of the folks on this site will be quite helpful. If you’re want a fellow Americans advice message me and I’ll be glad to assist. I would suggest u narrow down where you want to visit. My first trip over years ago was where I thought I could see a lot more of the UK in one trip than was really feasible.

I didd my rotary wing training courtesy of the US Army retired AH-64 Test Pilot

Haha, Air Command Gyroplane in a sod field.
Later graduated to the Municipal air field in Tracy Ca. 😂
Must take some coming down when leaving a job like that!
Cheers, Ken.

I've never heard of a John Hancock...
In informal American English, "John Hancock" is slang for a person's signature. This usage stems from John Hancock's prominent signature on the Declaration of Independence. When someone asks for your "John Hancock", they are requesting your signature.

Unknown-1.webp

I'll have to Google it.
Unless you'd care to tell me who he is / was?
I've no idea.

(I suppose I'd be equally surprised if someone said they hadn't heard of Tony Hancock).
Pretty sure Tony (A great comedian) was funnier than John.
Ken.
Ps. I just have an interest in American history.
Got a surprise in 1989 when I went to US for flying lessons and my instructor was a female Choctaw person.
