My name is Zal, I am very happy to join this community. I am 29 years old born and bred Yorkshire (Harrogate to be specific) I am inexperienced in terms of hunting. I have recently signed upto and am currently undertaking the PDS1 Online course to get a basic knowledge and understanding for the industry. I am more keen in developing skills and knowledge and experience before venturing out by myself. Being from Yorkshire I have grown up around wildlife and being an adventerous kid I have complete respect for our enviroment and want to fully embrace the culture for this industry that has been developed in this country for generations. I am generally keen to get involved in hunting as a hole, but after some time experience I would prefer to hunt larger game. Im interested in hunting for both the involvement and fun of the experience as a whole, in addition the sense of community and sharing of experiences and lessons learnt, and finally of course the physical rewards. However I have never had the opportunity to be involved with preparing an animal for human consumption (Which makes me more nervous than hunting). I hope to all that reads this, understands I am keen to learn and get involved in this community, contribute and gain knowledge and experience from anyone willing to share. My strengths are my drive and eagerness while able to consistently focus on one activity without a lapse of concerntration. This contributes to my desire to hunt as I can completely immerse myself in the hunt, in the survival in the wild. In contrast my weakness' are when I am not engaged in something uninteresting to myself, always struggle to sit still in a classroom. By trade I am an electrical engineer now as a Site Manager for a principal contractor building Data Centres. Working on construction sites constantly I am more than eager to be immeresed into nature.

I do not have a gun license and will not be applying for one until i feel more comfortable/confident with my knowledge and ability in both gun handling and knowledge and developing my knoweldge for hunting.
