Hi all, newly joined member, been on the forum reading posts for a short while and have been wanting to get back into shooting after an absence of almost a decade. All previous experience with firearms was from my time working in Southern Africa - mainly South Africa but also bits of time spent in Lesotho and Namibia. All my past shooting has been for wildlife management purposes but I’ve been wanting to get back into shooting for a number of years and specifically learn the skills and knowledge to successfully deer stalk in the UK, especially Scotland where I live (Renfrewshire to be more precise). Feel very much like a newbie again having not handled a rifle for so long. In the past have shot a wide variety of calibres from .22LR right up to .458 with most of my shooting being with a .243 and .375 for larger game species. Hoping this site will continue to prove to be a useful source of information and who knows I may end up meeting some like minded folk. Cheers, Jake
