Hi Everybody, papa whiskey here and pleased to join this forum. I have been stalking from when I was 15 years old and am now in my early 50's. However, work & family commitments have meant a sporadic and limited time in the field every year. Although the Mrs would disagree violently with this statement! I use a 22rim fire (Walther G22 semi auto) for rabbits;.243 (heavy barrel RPA Quadlite) for roe stalking and accurate target shooting and .308 (Steyr Mannlicher SSG 69) for the red's. I cook my own centre fire rounds and am just about to go on the hinds with Berger solid copper to see if the lead free are as good as my usual 150gr Hornady's (which shoot 1/2 inch grouping at 100 metres and are extremely effective). I recently took part in the BDS 50th Anniversary shooting final at Thetford Forest and came a credible 5th (96 out of a max of 120 points). Looking forwards to learning some new ideas and thoughts. PW
