Howdy.

I'm a newbie just joined the forum. I've done a bit of shooting with my friends and decided to bite the bullet and go for my FAC. DSC1 complete and FAC "hopefully" in the post by now. I live in Edinburgh and will stalk in the borders area and hopefully do some highland stuff as well.

Looking to get a Sauer 202 or Sako 85 or possibly 75 in .270. In two minds whether to go for wooden or synthetic stock.

Welcome to this forum and good to hear that you have already completed DSC1. I don't think you will need any help deciding what rifle to buy, you already have a few in mind, It's got to be what you like and the best you can buy on your budget, then, expect to pay the same again and maybe more for decent glass, this also applies for your essential bino's.
