Norfolk Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG), a farmer-led conservation charity, has launched a county-wide deer management strategy to improve collaboration between landowners, stalkers and venison suppliers. The initiative is already uniting major organisations and creating opportunities for:
• landowners – access to effective deer management
• stalkers – land access, mentoring and venison outlets
• suppliers – a reliable source of quality venison
Qualified deer managers (DSC2, Large Game Meat Hygiene, First Aid +F) are being registered, alongside those working towards these standards. Mentors, coordinators and existing groups are also invited to take part.
Join via the Norfolk FWAG website to connect with others, receive monthly updates and access training, events and opportunities.
